Michelle Anderson BVM&S MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
Michelle is a graduate of Edinburgh University’s Royal Dick Vet College. Before joining West End Vets, she worked in rural Staffordshire, treating farm animals as well as cats, dogs and other pets. Michelle has worked at West End Vets for over 12 years now and sees clients at Morningside Road and Bread Street.
She enjoys all aspects of treating companion animals including anaesthesia and surgery and finds the variety and challenges of small animal general practice very rewarding.
Michelle shares her home with her husband, three children, her dog named Connie and cat, Pablo.

Brigitte Lord BVetMed(Hons) CertZooMed MRCVS

Brigitte Lord graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, University of London, with honours in 2002. After a year in small animal practice she joined R(D)SVS, University of Edinburgh as a small animal intern. She moved to Bristol and was appointed the first RWAF Rabbit and Zoo animal resident in the UK in 2004, based at Bristol Zoo and Bristol University to establish the Rabbit Clinic.
In 2007 she ran a Rabbit and Exotic Veterinary Referral service in the South West, before returning to the Dick Vet as the first lecturer in Rabbit Medicine and Surgery in Europe. She holds a RCVS certificate in Zoological Medicine. She is interested in all aspects of Rabbit and Exotic Animal Medicine and Surgery; she has lectured extensively and published peer-reviewed research papers, plus many reviews and book chapters and articles in the RWAF Rabbiting On magazine.
She returned to general practice in 2016 and is enjoying working with cats, dogs and rabbits. She shares her home with two cats, rabbits and tropical fish.

Alba Maldonado Iniesta MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
Alba graduated from the University of Cordoba in 2017 and completed a post-graduate diploma in small animal medicine and surgery at the University of Barcelona. In 2018, Alba moved to North Yorkshire where she worked in a first opinion small animal practice and developed a special interest in small animal soft tissue surgery and diagnostic imaging.
In 2021, she moved to Edinburgh as she loved the city, joined the West End Vets team and she has recently started the RCVS Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice.
Outside of work Alba loves outdoor activities and jogging with her lovely rescue greyhound Max.
